The Febraury meeting of the Le Sueur County 4-H Federation was held on February 15, 2011 at 7:00pm in the 4-H Family Center. The meeting was called to order by President Thomas Liepold. Pledges were recited. Roll call took place; 10 clubs were represented. The secretary's report was read and approved. The treasurer's report showed a balance of $44,899.60 and was filed and subject to audit. There was no old business.
New Business: Federation Treasurer, Brittney Riebel presented the 2011 Federation Budget. It was moved to approve the budget. The motion was seconded and carried. Brittney also reminded everyone that reimbursement funds are available for adult leader trainings and youth leadership events such as BLU, YELLO, and Livestock Camp. Vice President, Evan King spoke about LQA&E training, which will take place on July 16. Livestock Committee member, Aaron Halloran gave a report on the livestock meeting. Adults and 4-Hers are needed to be on the softball schedule/tournament committee, the Arts-In committee, the clothing/fashion revue committee, food stand committee and the awards/recognition committe. A sign-up sheet was passed around. The 2011 Federation goals were read. Pam discussed the purchase of new folding chairs to match the tables. Brittney expressed the need for camp counselors for 4-H camp (Deadline Feb. 28th). Clover Blossom club leader, Nancy Beran talked about the county 4-H T-shirts and the possibility of getting sweatshirts. The BLU participants gave a report of their experience.
Annoucements: The pancake breakfast will be held on March 20. Set-up will be March 19 at 9:00 am. Share-the Fun will be held on March 22 at Park Elementary in Le Sueur. All clubs were reminded to pick up their club packets.
Dianne LeBrun moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded and the meeting was adjourned.
