2011 Share the Fun
4-H Share-the-Fun was held Thursday, March 22nd at Park Elementary. Sharon Progressives 4-H Club took top honors with their skit “Minute to Finish”. The skit was written be members Jolee Richter & Christine Schwartz. 4-H members showed the audience what happens when 4-H’ers wait until the last minute to finish their county fair exhibits. They will have the opportunity to perform at the Minnesota State Fair.
Second place act was performed by Farmers Friends 4-H Club. Members of Famers Friends entertained the audience with the Next Top Models 4-H’ers.
Honorable Mention was presented to Cleveland Pioneers 4-H Club. Their skit let everyone in on what really happens after dark at the county fair as the animals were busy visiting when they thought no one was around to hear them.
Special club skit awards were awarded as follows: Best 4-H Theme, Sharon Progressives; Most Humorous, Sharon Progressives; Golden Hammer – Best Props/Set, Farmers Friends; Best Costumes, Cleveland Pioneers.
The "just for fun" acts were presented by very talented 4-Hers. Lauren Senden, daughter of Jim & Lynell Senden of North Mankato received first place for her solo “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”; Victoria Bisek, daughter of Tony & Sandy Bisek of Webster, danced her way to honorable mention, Tyler and Hailie Tegmeier, children of Ryan & Brynn Tegmeier of Elysian also received honorable mention for their rap.
Congratulations and thanks to all who participated.
